On Friday, May 12th and Saturday, May 13th, the Farmington Community Chorus performed their annual spring concert, this time featuring one-word song titles. After an entertaining description of each song, Ernie Fox, show narrator, asked, "What's the Word? .... " and paused dramatically before revealing the answer.
For the first song, Prelude, the chorus held Scrabble tiles, being careful not to inadvertantly make words.
After a few chorus pieces, Shannon took the stage with a solo entitled "Crazy".
Next, a ladies trio sang in harmony with a banjo accompaniement.
The men sang their choral piece, followed by the ladies' piece entitled "Lollipop" with props included.
An acapella group of Oakland Community College students sang "Unwritten".
The fun continued with the Perfect Blend singing "Operator", complete with gospel choir robes.
Wrapping up the show, dancers showed off their swing moves during the chorus piece "Footloose".
